I started showing an interest in music at age 8 and learnt to play the piano. My dream was to have dancing lessons but there wasn’t any local dance schools and I never got the opportunity. In the 70’s, along with Paul, I joined Heckmondwike Players and joined in the chorus of the Mikado and Pirates or Penzance. In 2002 my daughter played Maria in the Sound of Music & my son played Rolf and again I joined the Players to strengthen the chorus. After this I went on to be in Fiddler on the roof, Hello Dolly, The King and I, Sweet Charity and now Oliver. I also joined Dewsbury Collegians in 2005 to be in the chorus of ‘Annie get your gun’ and last year ‘Annie’

Since the late 1980’s I have, over the years, been involved with many childrens productions making hundreds of costumes, This year I have used my skills & branched out to make adult costumes for Oliver.
