SYNOPSIS:This potent blend of love, laughter, tears and sadness follows the ups and downs of a family at war and features 35 songs which will forever be associated with those momentous years between 1939-45. From a riotous camp concert to the daily grind of queuing, a fund raising school concert, a night at the cinema and the romance of a Saturday night dance, all aspects of Great Britain
at war are vividly portrayed.
CHARACTERS:The family themselves, complete with cantankerous Gran, two cheeky kids and older daughter writing to boyfriend in the forces. Loads of others from air raid wardens to housewives in the ration queue, teachers, kids, soldiers etc. and the famous Andrews sisters.
SONGS: You name it it's in there. White Cliffs, Run Rabbit Run, Apple Blossom Time, Lilli Marlene, A Nightingale Sang, Quartermasters Stores, In the Mood, There'll Always be an England, Knees up Mother Brown, Lambeth Walk, As Time Goes By......to name but a few.
