OK, you ready for this?
Sheelagh began her musical career at the age of
16, with dewsbury Collegians' "South Pacific" in 1976. She performed as a dancer and in the chorus in every main show after that, playing occasional parts.
She also played Cinderella in Panto and played principal girl for the next five years.
After a spell away, having three children and living in Leeds, she returned to the Collegians in 1996 to play Bonnie in "Anything Goes".
Sheelagh then played leading lady in:
"Crazy for You" (Polly), "Me & My Girl" (Sally), "Hello Dolly (Mrs Malloy), "Guys & Dolls" (Sarah), "South Pacific" (Nellie Forbush), "Carousel" (Nettie),
This year she is playing Grace Farrell in "Annie" with the Collegians.
In between Sheelagh has played Grace Farrell in "Annie" with Leeds Thespians at the Leeds Grand in 1991, Spenborough Amateurs "Grease" (Marti) and Halifax Amateurs "Barnum" (Jenny Lind - the Swedish Nightingale!)
Last year she choreographed "Annie Get Your Gun" for the Collegians and, this year, "Sweet Charity" for the Players.
