I started my musical career at Crofton High school playing the double bass and later the bass guitar. At the age of 15 I formed a group and played at many top venues around the country over a span of 13 years both professional and semi-professional. The group had a following of people just to see the group perform Bohemian Rhapsody, I Was told I was a close 2nd to Freddy. After retiring my guitar in 1984 I then performed as a solo singer for a few more years. I appeared in The Mikado and Pirates of Penzance in the 70’s with the Heckmondwike Players and later in the 90’s in South Pacific when my children took the childrens parts.

This year sees my return to Heckmondwike Players, although having two left feet and no acting experience that doesn’t affect my singing ability. Who knows next year when my confidence has grown I may even audition for a part!!!!!!!!!!!!
